Progress Note Description

Met with Happy in my office today. He looked physically tired and reported feeling tired - not sleeping more than 4-5 hours even with all his routines and trazadone/benedryl (see notes). Still struggling with seeing the image of the girl with hands to face - not sure where it will go - no connection seen to the new FB. Shared new FB. Got to see his father in a new light - working for a living, receiving praise for his work and appreciation. Shared with Happy how it is like his children who he helps, in the end they have to choose to change paths or follow old ways. His father could not get past the anger about wanting to take Happy and ended up killing the woman and her family. Got to see a new personality - a woman, stole dresses, wig, shoes and seemed to be promiscuous. Happy believes she was to help his father deal with the rapes and possibly that his grandfather made his father dress like a girl at times. Mentioned how his brother admitted to remembering "No one would ever believe the things we lived through. They'd think we were lying." In his mind, he believes even his stepmother must know some things. When left to silence members of his family tend to fill the silence with thoughts/comments and often admit to things done/happening, just like his brother did. Talked about dog on property being like a totem "when he dies something big will happen, something will change."

Progress Note Description

Met with Happy in office today. He was still using crutches, in good spirits. Seems less affected by change in routines from Covid-19 Shelter in place. He says the Hampton Inn allows him to sit in lobby and use wi-fi, meet with his "children." Feeling good about getting all paperwork into Disability office, now just waiting for the process to complete. Shared how his children are doing - feels good about how they are all doing right now. Shared how his SIL gave him some money so he was able to catch up on bills. Shared how is maid cleaned for fair trade and her husband is going to do some work on the barn/paint for fair trade. Feeling lucky. New rehab counselor at unemployment office.

Having vivid "derogatory," and "rough" dreams. Details in attached notes. Could they be representing his current situation (peopl e around table) - feeling like others have the same message (even me) and not really able to help him? Getting away from bullies (feeling confident he will pull through this and get away from the job/supervisor bullies?

FBs - a lot of pain - walk slow, hard to breath, wake up screaming (rt leg pain). Sleep one day (12AM to 6/7PM) and have energy for the next day.

1)             Lady with hands duct taped to face in house - see part where R. brings her out, H. in car watching - see her pulling hands from face. "Why?"

2)             See notes for details. Another situation where a possible family was killed, because of being nice. A foster mom to "orphan" children. Sees R. as reacting to "jealousy."

Talked about family history - jr high/high school. Looked at relationships - his tendency to be silent - "people twist my words" causing fights and being beat up. Girls interested in him, but having no time/energy/interest since he was just surviving. His descriptions suggested there were conversations that he didn't recall. People talked to him as if he knew them, but he had no memory of ever talking to them - knew only as a kid at his school, in classes etc. Is this an indication of DID? Does he have or did he have DID?

Explained about "foster" families. Sister was a girl who was his friend from UTA when he was in graduate school and she was an undergraduate. Still lives a mile away. See her often. His mother was a woman who was the coordinator of curriculum at a daycare in Rowlett in the early 2000's when he had the Happy Smiles business. Still meet with her every week. Take care of her /buy her stuff like a mother. Had a foster father - man with a PhD in mathematics who liked the Rodeo - in his 70s. One day he made a comment about having sex only with younger women around 24 y/o. Some of Happy's "children" are this age and did not like it. Stopped talking to him.

Update on seeking retribution: contacted senator about brother who got away/girl jogging that was killed. Family buried in backyard. They say it is state problem. But it is federal since it is kidnapping. Printing off all documents with lawyer's help - plan to send to ViDoc(?) retired detectives in Penn who solve cases. Always send info to Senators in certified mail - wants to have a list of all the people who failed to follow through when this finally gets solved.

Progress Note Description

Met with Happy in my office today. He noted he is struggling to maintain a positive mood. Discussed how the denial from social security affected him emotionally - worried about finances, medical insurance, and becoming homeless. Discussed panic attacks occurring more often now. "Suicidal Ideation follows me like a shadow." He expressed how his SI is not him wanting to kill himself, but just that he is "ready" to die. "is this where I die now?" Happy knows how to manage his PAs by using calming tools, distraction, and time. Discussed triggers to why they are happening more frequently. Related to memories of R trying to " lull people." It seems perhaps he feels others are trying to "lull" him, that there is some terrible thing waiting for him at the end of this all. Stated, "It is like Robert is trying to kill me." Talked about how the "torture" from his parents - taunts, drowning, pain would "confuse" him. Then he would seek comfort from the people who tortured him, his parents, and they would laugh. But the laugh was better than the pain and "kept them from killing me."

Shared FBs. (see attached handwritten notes)Themes: God theme, twisted justice, how R would keep something from the victims and seek forgiveness from God, or seek peace. "He continued relationships with victims through their items for his forgiveness and their forgiveness."

Day received letter of denial. Panic attack in kitchen - I had a white rag in my hand, fingers ran across the hem trying to comfort myself. "God, why is this so much harder?" "Am I going to die without any children going home?" (children=victims). Reminded Happy of how R used items, like the rag, and also spoke to God.

What if you can't get help for the victims? - Write a book, "My story about how law enforcement, CPS, and the educational system failed" Then "great changes take place."

Met with Happy in my office today. He was in a calm mood. Discussed why I prefer to provide a treatment summary rather than a copy of my actual notes. He still wants the notes for his records and SSD.

On a good note, he was able to meet with his attorney and "enjoy the little ones." Processed a panic attack which occurred at the restaurant. Employees from the hospital stopped and talked to him. -> thoughts about "miss friends, miss the happy place." -> panic feelings - made sure nothing in hands to trigger like last time -> used coping tools - centered by focus on the sensations of the present. Related going through panic to the analogy of "put the boulders back away."

Progress Note Description

Happy met with me in the office today. Struggling with a FB "pushing" and difficulty pushing it back. Talked about a trigger this week. Was sitting at the bar at Cotton Patch eating - The bartender waas "brusque", told her it was "not conducive to my PTSD ." She kept it up. Had to leave after 15 minutes, panic. Figured out it was a connection to Glenda saying all the time how awful he is. Talked about how one of his children stated he has been "more demanding." Does not see himself this way. Thinks "I'm fine being me. They are not fine being them." so they project it onto him.

Pain: typical this week, pain with the FB memory, but bearable sometimes.

FB this week is unusual in that it is the little girl next door - a renter maybe. He has an address where a family renting can be traced and the bodies were buried in the backyard. Because of the photographer and Glenda's weird/sick joy at the photographs , has an idea how many bodies are buried in the backyard. The photos would be a clue. At first did not remember the girl next door, but after going through the fb remembered how her mother would let him play with her. She was younger and really liked him. This family - "here was my heaven". They didn't let his brother play with her, so it was a safe haven away from his family. Was so distraught about seeing her death and burial that he pushed the memories away, but they surfaced anyway as hallucinations about seeing her during his grief. He remembered thinking about playing with her in her pool while the mother laughed and clapped at them, to escape the pain after his brother was encouraged to beat him. He enjoyed reading to her and making her happy. It was like the first of his children where he could care for someone else in a way that no one cared for him. ( see handwritten notes for details)

Met with Happy in the office today. He seems tired and distant. Reporting "severe" pain and "staying in bed mostly." Talked about getting help from brother for wifi and bill money, frustrations with not being able to reach a "human" at the unemployment office, and being in the final phase of the SSDI appeal. Overall, feeling weighed down by the financial difficulties.

This weeks FB's are particularly haunting and difficult. Has been pushing it back all week. (see attached handwritten notes for details. Themes: His father killing babies and talking about his lost baby. Glenda convinced Robert he had killed a baby in her. Also, killing of woman "carrying Max's baby." Images include the broaches with wings on the lady dressed for the funeral and the lady with the parasol. Realization that Max had a gay lover who was as mean as Max. Talked about the torture Robert did to keep his mind disorganized. Would "beat me until I couldn't breathe," and ask his name until he was too disoriented to say it.

Progress Note Description

Met with Happy in my office today. He was in a mixed mood. Expressed concern about money/lack of social interaction. Reviewed the letter from unemployment office together to help him be sure he was reading it correctly.

Pain: Having a lot of pain in his right hip. He believes he is overcompensating for weak left hip. 

Work: expressed frustration. Followed up with disability office. One office says they sent to another office, 2nd office says they have not received it. Has been doing research on work discrimination and believes he may have a case.

Unsolved cases: Reviewed his intro letter to unsolved cases and helped with some grammatical corrections. Talked about the info in letter and processed thoughts/feelings.

Shared FBs. (see attached handwritten notes)Themes: Continuing on themes of babies killed. 1) "People love me and save me,

" but they are "almost decapitated." "the extra pain," "fury," "seems to be a punishment for trying to save me." ( sad affect) 2) Found some comfort in the cleaned up car, blankets etc. a feeling of "the world is good," "like I died and this was a drive to heaven." 3) the fear of the vulture, the body coming after him, and the release of "when the vulture when away, everything was ok." This FB was about the ongoing conflict of needing/finding love/care through kind people, and realizing they would be targeted for extreme torture by R because of their compassion. He could not gain comfort from R or from strangers, so he found comfort in two other ways (personalities) through the "nice guy" and through the "Fred Astaire" guy.

At the end of the session, Happy discussed feeling that he is both accepting his disability and learning a new life to live and preparing for something coming next.
